Glory, Glory, Hallelujah! Cloud's Rain Dance

We got rain, Jane, Granny, 1st, Jenny, Jody, Kris, Lynda, Dorothy, et al! It didn't last long, but it was wonderful indeed!

This is one happy Atheist gardener!

  1. I am watching a storm on the radar right now that is north of me. I am crossing my fingers but I am not getting to excited. Glad you got some rain

    1. When I was looking at the radar earlier It was doubtful there would be any so I watered everything front and back. Then it decided to rain after an hour or so. No worries. With the deficit there isn't a worry there is too much watering going on! :D

  2. Yay for you!!! After going last year with virtually NO rain, I understand. It's so amazing how plants bounce back and look so beautiful after a good soaking rain.

  3. Only because I gave in and did that naked rain dance with Tiny Gardener. Just so you could get your garden watered. Sheesh, what I won't do for you guys ;-)

  4. Thank goodness!! No amount of hand watering matches the joy of a good rain...your garden will reward you twofold!

  6. i just remembered you asked me a question about ground cherries and i forgot to answer. they're a strange little fruit...the taste reminds me of a combo between strawberries, tomatoes and cheddar cheese. i think they're tasty but i've fed them to people who found them so repulsive they spit them out. some people use them for pies and jams and stuff. the best use i found was in a fancy garden salsa i made.

    1. Doubtful its anything like the 'drought' droughts in say the south or the south west, however, we are certainly quite a bit below were we should be. Isn't most of the US like these this year?

Im sure your corn is loving the new water!

  8. I think we got your drought now. It's been dry for over a week and next 10 days forecast shows zero chance and continue in 90's.

  9. Jenny, you will need to add another 11 weeks to that with only getting rain 3 times to catch up with us. Sorry to sound like a victim, but this year has been rough. I hope you get rain soon.
