Simplicity.

Just at a Black Prince tomato. It was utterly delightful. Brushed it off on my shirt and ate it like an apple in the garden. Juicy. Gorgeous. Sweet and Complex. Growing them again for sure.

  1. Was it gone before you could snap a picture? Yum, I bet it was delicious. I used to think I didn't like tomatoes...until I ate one straight from the vine in my Grandfather's garden. After that I could say I don't really like STORE BOUGHT tomatoes, ha.

    1. Sorry couldn't help it my friend. It was gone before I even thought of an apparatus to magically record its image.

  2. we pretty much eat everything off the vine here at the Manor....walk around plucking peas - they are usually clean from the rain but the radishes get a little wipe on a towel (we would wipe them on our clothes but we don't wear clothes. oh heck - we'll save that for later!). just found you at Dani's blog...and am looking forward to backreading some more. we are still waiting for tomatoes - can't wait to eat those off of the vine - i always carry some crushed sea salt to put on them!

    1. Kymber, I love that you carry crushed sea salt with you. What a smart idea when roaming in the garden. :-)

    2. 1st Man - thanks buddy - i am glad that you appreciate that. i am too afraid to take the whole sea salt shaker - you wouldn't believe what we paid to get a matching red sea salt and pepper shaker. but that was years ago back in the city when we were rolling in the money. so that is why i always take the sea salt in my hand - bahahahahah! jambaloney carries the little towel to rub the dirt off of anything!

    3. I hear that the pink madagascar hissing sea salt is extra expensive this year. ;)
