  1. Have you run across the website: Homesteading today. A poster there (forerunner) has a huge thread on composting. He's lived off grid on 7ish acres for eons, and seems to be the king of compost. Might find it interesting, so thought I'd mention.

  2. Or you can feed it to chickens, goats, or pigs. It saves on the feed bill and the added bonus is that they'll repackage it as manure.

    1. I've thought about the chickens and goats. Not the pigs. I hear that they can be dangerous. I am not a huge man, but a pig is a very large animal.

I'm still left with, what would I do with the chicken and goat products. I'm basically vegan after all.

How many acres does it take to feed a goat through them grazing without absolute non-reversible land destruction, Leigh?

  3. Composting is something I have yet to do. Maybe this year would be a good time to start as it would be helpful for use in my bucket garden.

    1. Always a good time.

Do you have a bit of land in FL or are you more of an Urban setting?
