The friendship continues.

Mr. Pickles loves going over to Judy's. That is. Sneaks over. I believe that he goes to snog the cat she left over there. However, I can usually go find him and chase him back inside. In the 11 years I have had him as a friend, he has been an indoor cat. This year I have allowed him to go outside with me. He is pretty happy with that arrangement.
Yesterday morning he snuck off to Judy's and I had to chase him back. I was growing upset with him constantly doing this. Decided to give him a time out in his wire carrier. Let him out after 30 minutes. Went to go work on the trailer. Placed a gate blocking the doorway and a very tall, spiky cactus above it.
When I came back around in the afternoon, he was gone. Jumped over the cactus. He was no where to be found. Not at the neighbors. Not in the surrounding country side. The 10-15 some odd acres I know. Those places he goes over this year. Nothing.
He has been gone some 27 hours. No sight of him this afternoon. Not even a body lying in the ditch. Zilch. Nada. 11 years of friendship. Nothing.
I don't know what to say about all of that ....
